NOTICE OF RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO SELL/DISPOSE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY

WHEREAS, certain personal property owned by Columbus School District No. 6, Stillwater County, Montana, has been determined by the Board of Trustees of said School District to be obsolete, surplus, and unsuitable for school purposes because it is out of date, replaced by updated technology/equipment, or no longer usable;

WHEREAS, said property is generally described as follows:

• School Vehicles:

  • 2005 Ford Box Van Mileage: 91,123

  • 2010 Ford Flex SUV Mileage: 114,232

  • 2013 Ford Passenger Van Mileage: 123,208

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 20-6-604, MCA, the Board of Trustees is required to adopt a resolution to sell or otherwise dispose of said property in the most expeditious and fiscally responsible manner possible;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Trustees of Columbus School District No. 6 authorize the sale, donation, or disposal of the property described above.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution will become effective fourteen (14) days after the publication of this notice in a newspaper of general circulation within the county, as required by law.
